Born in Prato in 1980, he discovered his passion for photography and nature thanks to his several trips to the mountains, especially to the Apuan Alps and to the Dolomites.
Harmonious and strong shapes, achieved through the eternal contrast of light and shadows, make the main subject for his photography. Those essential and authentic shapes of landscapes, moments and daily life, are captured in all his shots.
He considers monochrome photography the perfect medium to express his authentic personality. He has developed his photography style and technique after the study of artists like Anselm Adams, Paul Caponigro and Robert Capa. He pays great attention to fine art printing.
Giovanni is a current contributor to the magazine Meridiani Montagne and the publisher Vivi Dolomiti.
"When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence." -Ansel Adams-
